REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE

Diversified Cropping and Agroforestry

Agroforestry gives farmers and landowners several ways to introduce greater diversity into the farm landscape. Some practices, including windbreaks and riparian forest buffers, are used mainly for their conservation benefits. Others can create economic opportunities while also increasing plant diversity and providing additional wildlife habitat. These practices include alley cropping, silvopasture, and forest farming. The University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry offers a wide range of resources on these practices, including publications, videos, and educational programs focused on agroforestry.
