What qualifications are required to be a mentee?
The mentee should demonstrate a genuine interest in conservation and regenerative agriculture, a willingness to engage with a mentor, and actively participate in the program.
Does the mentee need to be an active farmer?
No. The program is open to active farmers, aspiring farmers, landowners, farm managers, and agricultural producers who are interested in conservation and regenerative agriculture.
Can a farmer with many years of experience be a mentee?
Yes. Farmers with many decades of experience may still be interested in learning about or transitioning to regenerative agriculture.
Does the mentee have to be the decision maker on the farm?
No. The mentee does not need to be the sole decision maker, but he or she should have the ability to influence or implement agricultural management decisions related to the regenerative practices on the farming operation.
Can the person be a mentee in other farming organizations in addition to OhFARM?
Yes. Participation in other farming organizations, mentorship programs, educational programs, or technical assistance programs is allowed and encouraged when it supports the participant's learning goals.
